Hey, hey, hey friends and welcome back to the blog!! Today I’m going to be telling yah all about my grocery store favs and must haves. I could actually spend hours in the grocery store (call me weird), but I love it, always have, always will. I especially love it when I go home for school break and my mom hands me her credit card and tells me to go grocery shopping for the fam (which she usually regrets soon after heheh). There are a few things that I ALWAYS have around so if by chance I run out and don’t have any backups, HOLY HECK you better watch out and stay clear of me for a little while (yes, it’s that serious)! ANYWAYS, let’s get down to business, shall we?

Condiments/Seasonings:

  • Mustard

  • Honey Mustard

  • Coconut Aminos

  • Balsamic (Colavita brand or local balsamic from my hometown)

  • Pink Himalayan Salt

  • Parmesan Cheese (Go Veggie Brand is my shizzz)

  • Turmeric

  • Thyme

  • Basil

  • Lime Juice

  • Mediterranean Pink Himalayan Salt Spice Blend (Current Fav - I found it @ my local TJ Maxx)

Pantry Staples:

  • Oatmeal

  • Rice Cakes

  • Lightly Salted, Caramel, & Chocolate

  • Couscous or Quinoa

  • Creamy & Crunchy Peanut Butter (not picky about the brand)

  • PB2 (Regular & Chocolate)

  • Chocolate PB Fit

  • Protein Powder

  • PEScience’s Peanut Butter Cookie, Snickerdoodle, or Chocolate Cupcake) – 10/10 recommend them all!!

  • Protein Bars (RX Bar or Square Organics)

  • My favs are the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Blueberry, Chocolate chip, and Maple sea salt

I’m very much a creature of habit when it comes to my seasonings, condiments, fav snacks, and foods. Next up, I’m going to share what a typical grocery list/haul looks like for me… Keep in mind I may not list some of the items above on my grocery list because as I said, they’re usually already stocked up on in my house!!

Typical Grocery List:

  • Frozen Vegetables – Normally the Birds Eye Brand (Green Beans & Mixed Veggies)

  • Frozen Blueberries

  • Frozen Raspberries

  • Carrots

  • Snap Peas

  • Spring Mix Greens

  • Cherry Tomatoes

  • Cucumber

  • Sprouted Bread (Dave’s Killer, Angelic Bakehouse, or Canyon Bake house)

  • Couscous

  • Ground Turkey or Ground Chicken

  • Fish (Tilapia) - I usually buy the day/night I want to cook it though so it doesn't go bad or get yucky, I never meal prep fish (grosses me out)

  • Chicken Cutlets

  • Eggs

  • All Natural Turkey Lunch Meat

I tend to rotate my veggies each week. I always have frozen veggies on deck for accessibility, but some other veggies that I switch between each week are...

  • Zucchini

  • Yellow Squash

  • Butternut Squash

  • Mushrooms

My grocery list is rather simple and I tend to keep things consistent and basic. I enjoy eating pretty much the same meals everyday. Some people don't, but for me it's the easiest and most effective way to utilize my time and have food readily accessible. I try to shop for items with minimal/real ingredients for the most part, but I obviously allow myself some fun and tasty foods too because BALANCE friends.

I don't necessarily budget my grocery list each week, but if you do than you can easily find these items to fit your budget. For example, buy off brand veggies instead of name brand. By your store brand oats instead of Quaker. Look for deals on bars and snacks. If you are shopping one day and notice that your favorite snack is buy one, get one free than stock up because you know you'll finish it. Just some tips that have helped me because I know grocery shopping can add up quick.

I hope this was helpful and if anything else allowed you to get some food ideas for your next grocery trip. Thanks for reading!!
