My Grocery List & Bulking Staples?

Hello Friends & Welcome Back :) !!

What are your favorite carb sources? I have a hard time hitting my protein, any suggestions? What fat sources do you recommend? Ugh how do you hit your carb macros without going over your fats or protein? These are all examples of questions and messages I receive daily about my bulk and bulking in general!

For those of you that don't know or are new to this blog, I'm currently in a bulking phase with the goal being to put on lean muscle. This means I'm eating A LOT of food. I'll admit, it can be tough to find foods that are macro friendly and allow you to reach your goals while maintaining a diet rich in nutrient dense foods. It's easy to go for the pop tarts, waffles, protein bars, ice cream, and all that other processed stuff when trying to put on weight because they're calorie dense and convenient. Those items are definitely okay in moderation, but when trying to gain lean muscle it's important to have the majority of your diet based around nutrient dense/whole foods to leave you feeling your best and performing to the best of your ability in the gym.

Okay let's get to it! Here's a list of my bulking staples and favorite items in the grocery store:

Protein Sources:

-93/7 Ground Turkey

-Eggs

-Chicken

-Turkey Lunch Meat

-Protein Powder (PEScience's Peanut Butter Cookie is my number one!!)

-PB2

-RX Bars (Fav Flavors are Maple Sea Salt & Peanut Butter Chocolate)

-Square Organics Protein Bars

Carb Sources:

-Earthly Choice Quinoa & Barley 90 Second Microwave Blend

-Near East CousCous

-Cascadian Farm Organic Hash Browns

-Canyon Bakehouse Bread, Mountain White (This is my absolute favorite bread)!!!

-Quaker Rice Cakes (Caramel, Chocolate, & Lightly Salted are my personal favs)

-Quaker Oats

-Russet Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes

-Birds Eye Steamfresh Mixed Vegetables

-Birds Eye Steamfresh Cut Green Beans or Whole Green Beans 

-Butternut Squash

-Zucchini

-Green Giant Riced Cauliflower

-Squash

-Frozen Blueberries

-Bananas

Fat Sources:

-Peanut Butter (Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams or Teddie All Natural Super Chunky are my go-to PB choices) --> The GIF to the right is me LOL....

-Coconut Oil

-Olive Oil

-Follow Your Heart American Dairy Free Cheese Slices

-Cashews

-Peanuts

Misc./Condiments:

-Thyme 

-Turmeric

-Rosemary

-Pink Himalayan Salt

-Walden Farms Maple Syrup

-Walden Farms Blueberry Syrup

-Cinnamon

-Coconut Aminos

-Mustard

-Tomato Sauce

-Lime Juice

-Skinny Girl Balsamic Dressing

-Go Veggie Pharm Cheese 

These are some of the staples I keep around my house at all times! I highly recommend buying items like quinoa, couscous, oats, etc in bulk to save money! (I usually pick them up at Costco). I hope this was helpful and gives ya'll some ideas for your next shopping trip.
